MONA

KUHN

Normally when we snap a photo of ourselves, The picture that has been chosen to be in public is most likely the one that we choose to represent ourselves. The illusion that we want others to see. The process of editing, filters or focal length  of the lens are what transforming the link from who we really are to what we really want to be.

Mona Kuhn, American photographer, s best known for her large-scale photographs of the human form and essence. In her photographic series, the body is exposed through the lens. But, at the same time, that body is also hazy and blurred. She reflect her model’s sense of ease and liberated the bodies that was once a projected alter ego. It is both external and internal in the same time. The body that we are and the body that we own began to merge.
