the black sculpture is made from polymer clay painted in black with acrylic. I made this one just to try to bring out the idea of letting the artwork grows onto the 3rd dimension while it also reacted to the ergonomics of human with its shape. This piece also inspired by the photography work of Juul Kraijer. I unconsciously made this sculpture with Juul's work in mind.

The others are experiments with modelling clay which has a bit of unique abilities as when I sculpt it, it almost feels like holding something that is alive since the outer layer of the clay dried up so fast it almost created a soft shell protecting the volume of clay inside. Whilst the outer layer is harden, it still absorbed most the mark that I made and giving the skin-like feeling. Reflecting its skin back to my hands.
